St Jude's Church with St Nicholas Church, Swansea

The Men's Society

Sadly,  it has been decided to disband the mens' society,  due to a combination of reasons.   These are mainly: the difficulty in getting speakers and the increasing age of the members,  meaning an increase in the absencies from meetings due to failing health of members.   The final event was held this month (February 2008) and was a lunch held at the Carvery.

Sunday School

Leaders:  Hazel Davies and Pat Pope.

The Sunday school meet at 9.30am on Sunday mornings during the Sunday morning Eucharist and the children come back into church in time to go to the communion rail with the adult congregation to receive a blessing whilst the adults are receiving communion.

Choir.

St Jude's has a small but faithful choir led by Mrs Suzanne Jones,  who meet each Wednesday.  They sing in both morning Eucharist and Evensong.  They also enjoy rehearsing for special occasions and sing at all Holy Week, Easter  and Christmas services.

They are always on the look out for new members,  especially some male voices.  They are a friendly lot who enjoy a vibrant social life and also work hard to fund raise at their Choir coffee mornings.

 St Judes Pantomime Society

The Pantomime Society meet on Sunday evenings in Autumn and Winter at 7 pm to rehearse for the Pantomime which is performed in early January.  They also perform a summer show (musical) in June/July
