Induction of new Vicar

The induction of Howard as Vicar of Swansea St Jude's and Swansea St Nicholas,  his official title, will be held at St Nicholas on 26th March at 7pm.  Howard will be remaining as Area Dean and is also be keeping his chaplaincy responsibilities  with the Society for the Deaf .

New Vicar

Our Priest in charge, Rev. Howard Parsell is shortly to take on additional responsibilities in the form of an extra parish.   He will be appointed as Vicar of St Jude's and St Nicholas.   He will also be moving house,  to the Vicarage at St Nicholas.  The parishes will retain their separate identities with their own services,  their own PCCs and officials.   There will probably be some overlap, where economies can be achieved, with perhaps a shared magazine and this website,  but this will be decided in due course by the separate PCCs.   The Bishop will be celebrating the Eucharist in St Nicholas on 8th February at 10.30. This is not the induction service which is expected to be held before Easter,  date to be announced,  but an opportunity for the Bishop to speak to both congregations about his reasons for linking the two parishes like this.

 Plea from Astra.

Astra is compiling a book about St jude's and is looking for any old photos you may have of people, special occasions or anything to do with St Judes that may be of interest to others.

Astra is able to scan photos onto her computer, so will only need to borrow them for long enough to do this.

If you can help please contact Astra or Suzanne.
